1️⃣ Colores y Símbolos
Exu se manifiesta a través de los colores rojo y negro, representando la dualidad de la vida, la sangre que fluye y el misterio de lo desconocido. Sus símbolos principales son el tridente (que simboliza el poder sobre los tres mundos), las llaves que abren todos los caminos y los elementos de metal. En la Kimbanda, su presencia es vital para establecer el equilibrio entre las fuerzas astrales y materiales.
2️⃣ Dominios y Atributos
Él es el señor de las encrucijadas (encruzilhadas), los mercados y las comunicaciones. Nada se mueve en el mundo espiritual ni en el material sin el permiso de Exu. Actúa como el intermediario entre los hombres y los Orixás, siendo el primero en ser invocado en cualquier ritual. Posee una naturaleza dinámica, astuta y protectora, encargado de vigilar las entradas y castigar la injusticia.
3️⃣ Ofrendas, Prohibiciones y Refranes
Sus ofrendas suelen incluir aguardiente (marafo), tabaco, aceite de dende y harina de maíz (padê). Se le ofrenda en las esquinas o cruces de caminos, preferiblemente los lunes. Una de sus prohibiciones más estrictas es el uso de miel en ciertos contextos de su culto, dependiendo de la línea espiritual.
"Exu mató un pájaro ayer con una piedra que lanzó hoy." (Patakí que resalta su dominio sobre el tiempo y la causalidad).

He possesses a dynamic, cunning, and protective nature, tasked with guarding entrances and punishing injustice.
3️⃣ Offerings, Prohibitions, and Sayings
His offerings usually include aguardiente (marafo), tobacco, palm oil (dende), and cornmeal (padê). He is offered at corners or crossroads, preferably on Mondays. One of his strictest prohibitions is the use of honey in certain contexts of his cult, depending on the spiritual line.
